Food Diary privacy policy

Food Diary collects nothing about you. It keeps your food reaction diary on your iPhone, iPad, or Android phone, with no account, advertising, or analytics, and no server of ours ever receives what you enter. This page explains exactly where your records live.

Effective October 12, 2026 Your food reaction diary, kept on your device.

Oakferry Games Inc. does not collect, store, sell, share, or transmit personal data from anyone who uses Food Diary. This page is the app-specific policy; the studio-wide policy is at oakferry.com/privacy.

01What the app collects

Nothing. Food Diary has no account, no login, no advertising identifier, no analytics, no crash reporting, and no software development kit that collects data.

Your diary entries are stored in the app’s private storage on your device. An entry holds the food, the amount, the time, your symptoms, what you did in response (such as using an epinephrine auto-injector), your notes, and whether alcohol or medication was near the time you ate. Your risk profile holds your age group and answers such as family history, asthma, and eczema. Your emergency contact is a name and a phone number. The app sends none of it anywhere. A report you choose to share, described below, is the only way it leaves.

The app also keeps your appearance setting, whether you accepted the first-launch disclaimer, and the tab you last used.

This is health information, so treat your phone’s lock and backups with the same care as your medical records.

02Backups

Food Diary has no cloud sync of its own. On an iPhone or iPad, an iCloud Backup or a backup to a computer may include your diary. On Android, Google’s device backup may include it. The backup is yours and is held by Apple, Google, or your computer; we never see it. You can turn device backup off in your device’s settings.

03Sharing a report

The Safety tab can build a plain-text report for your clinician from your risk profile and diary entries. The report leaves the app only when you tap Share report text and choose a destination in your device’s share sheet. After that, the app you chose handles it under its own terms.

04Calling your emergency contact

If you save an emergency contact, the emergency guidance shows a button that opens your phone’s dialer with that number. The app does not place the call or record it.

05Permissions

Food Diary asks for no permission on an iPhone, iPad, or Android phone. It never asks for notifications, camera, location, contacts, microphone, or Health data.

Nothing in this table is sent to Oakferry Games Inc. The App Store privacy label for Food Diary says Data Not Collected, and the Google Play Data safety section says no data collected and no data shared. This table is why.

07Network access

Food Diary makes no network requests. The Android build removes the Internet permission, so it could not make one.

08Deleting your data

Open an entry and tap Delete entry to remove it. Deleting the app removes the diary from your device, and because there is no account behind it, we cannot restore it. Copies in an existing device backup follow that backup’s rules.

09Children

Food Diary is meant for adults. A parent or caregiver may keep a diary for a child. Everything they enter stays on the device like any other entry, and Oakferry Games Inc. receives nothing. There is no advertising and no chat.

10Not medical advice

Food Diary is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, or give medical advice. In an emergency, call your local emergency number.

11If you email us

When you write to us for support we necessarily receive your email address and whatever you put in the message. We use it only to reply, and keep correspondence no longer than we need to resolve the matter. We never add anyone to a mailing list and never pass correspondence to a third party.

12Your rights

Data protection law gives you rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, and port personal data we hold about you. In our case there is generally nothing to exercise them against, because we hold nothing — the exception is any email you have sent us.

To make a request, email support@oakferry.com. If you are in the UK or the EU and are unsatisfied with our response, you may also complain to your national data protection authority.

13Changes to this policy

If the app ever changes what it does — for example by adding a feature that genuinely requires data — we will update this page and change the effective date above before that version ships. We will not begin collecting data quietly under an old policy.
